PROPEL seeks to be a source of hope, encouragement and opportunity to these youth. Our goal is to address the needs of youth and be a catalyst for change, one life at a time. We offer weekly programming and special events in the areas of arts, education and recreation to best forward the future of our youth – hence the name PROPEL. We use passion-based relationships to engage the youth we serve. In other words, we love to have fun while making a lasting impact.

1. Programs:

PROPEL will strive to address the real needs of today’s youth through strategic planning of events, programs, and projects.

2. Partnerships:

By developing strong partnerships with the community, schools, and churches, PROPEL will seek opportunities to identify and serve youth in South Palm Beach and Broward County.

3. Empower:

PROPEL staff, college interns and volunteers will serve as positive role models, building relationships that encourage good character and instill values.

We are approaching a much-anticipated annual mission’s trip to Knoxville Tennessee. We intentionally take our students away from their routine environment for 10 days of retreat and mentoring. This is a life changing experience for those who attend.

We are $5000 short of our goal to bring every student on this trip. We are asking you to provide a way. I am writing on behalf of 150 youths seeking financial resources for PROPEL to continue to provide leadership assistants. Thank you in advance for your support.

Mission Statement

PROPEL (People Reaching Out to Provide Education and Leadership) a 501 (c) non-profit organization wishing to improve the quality of life for economically disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

PROPEL was founded by Marta and James Batmasian in 2003 and is based in Boca Raton Florida. PROPEL believes in providing a Hand Up instead of a Hand Out. This organization is dedicated to creating positive change in underprivileged communities. Providing individuals with the opportunities to complete core education, gain vocational or technical training or continue on to college is our greatest strength. Training and education converts directly to career opportunities for our members.

PROPEL locates teachers, mentors and role models who genuinely care about our area’s youth to volunteer and share their expertise and life experiences first-hand with youth ages 8 to 24. PROPELS programs include basic educational tutoring, fitness, life skills, music education, higher education and job and college placement. PROPEL is also about fun and friendship for youths who otherwise may have nowhere else to turn.
