One of Boca Raton's favorites, this park has something for everyone. Plenty of picnic areas shaded by the canopy of forest, offering grills, restroom facilities & playgrounds for the kids, young and old. The best part about this part is the peaceful park is the water on both sides. On the west side is the intercoastal & lagoon, and to the east, venture through a long tunnel (under A1A) through the beach.
It's a neat trip through the dark tunnel through to the light of the beach and water. No open fires, pets, or alcohol, but you can fish. Please show respect to the natural beauty found in the park and leave what you find for others to enjoy. You will see a variety of birds, plants and water creatures, please don't feed the animals. Swimming is permitted on the ocean side only, lifeguards are on duty from Park Opening to 5PM, 7 days per week. Open Sunrise to Sunset 7 days per week. Picnicking by groups (more than 25 people) is restricted to the group picnic areas (picnic shelters).
The shelters are available to all responsible groups by reservation. Requests should be directed to the Boca Raton Recreation Services Department, Park Ranger Headquarters (phone 561.393.7815), Boca Raton, Florida. No alcohol, drugs, nudity or fires in anything other than the provided grills.
