The Schmidt Family YMCA Child Development Center at Mae Volen

The program will provide a diverse, child-directed curriculum based on the Reggio Emilia approach. This innovative model encourages exploration, creativity and self expression. The children themselves guide the learning experiences through their interests. With the support of specially trained staff, activities support healthy social, emotional, intellectual and physical development in a nurturing environment that is responsive to each child’s need.
The School is now enrolling children ages 3 1/2 to 5 years old into its inaugural program which offers full day and VPK. For more information on the program or to schedule a tour, please contact Beth Reyer, Child Development Director, at 561-338.7594.

Annual Campaign
Each year in the fall, the YMCA carries out an annual fundraising campaign. YMCA volunteers, members, staff and community supporters are approached and asked to make a pledge to the campaign.
Funds raised from the annual campaign support the YMCA’s financial assistance program. Each year, the YMCA awards $500,000 to over 4,000 individuals and families who could not otherwise afford the cost of YMCA services.
