The Early Vote took place in Downtown, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Where for the first time, Hillary Clinton spoke for the Barack Obama campaign. Clinton's agrees this is the kind of change we need. The starting lineup for the Democratic rally included U.S. Rep. Alcee Hastings Jr., U.S. Rep. Robert Wexler and Mark Caldwell, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Fort Lauderdale. The crowd of roughly 2,400 people were ready to hear what needed to be said.
"Florida we are 15 days from the finish line. This has been a marathon race but we can not falter now," Clinton had told the crowd. "We have to keep going and we cannot take a single vote for granted."
Hastings, spoke first, to embrace the liberalism of the people. Though, Michele Bachman, who in an interview with MSNBC last week compared being politically liberal with being anti-American,
"This has been a marathon race, and we can't take a single vote for granted," she insisted. The marathon turned into a sprint when the skies opened up, but the veteran of political storms didn't let it dampen her spirits. "This is going to be a short speech… get out and vote!"
Overall, Florida is the fourth biggest electoral prize, this year having nearly one million new voters. GOP strategists say John McCain must win it if he wants to take the Presidency.
