Boca Raton
40th Annual Holiday Street Parade
Wednesday, December 8, 2010
7:30 PM - 9 PM
On Wednesday, December 8th community businesses, churches, schools, and civic organizations will come together in the spirit of holiday cooperation and fun at the '40th Annual City of Boca Raton Holiday Street Parade'.
Now in its 40th year, this years festive parade is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM with participants proceeding north on Federal Highway from SE 8th Street to Mizner Park, marching to the holiday theme of “ Holidaze Tropicale”.
Join the line-up of many local choirs and marching bands, entertainers, dancers, cheerleaders, baton twirlers, various drill teams, and a wide array of colorful floats as they brighten the streets of Boca Raton this holiday season! Sun-Sentinel’s 20-foot delivery dog will join the parade lineup, along with some other participant surprises. For the best viewings, there are bleacher areas in Sanborn Square just north of Palmetto Park Road. (May we suggest to arrive early for good seating).
The Police Athletic League 8th Annual Mile Run will precede the parade (7:20pm), along with entertainment located at various locations along the route. The parade event is sponsored by Sun-Sentinel, WRMF 97.FM, Forum Publishing, Florida Health & Chiropractic Medicine, Mercantile Bank, Greater Boca Raton Beach & Park District, and the City of Boca Raton.
