Brooke held a food drive in her home and the results of which, after much research on food pantries, were donated to Boca Helping Hands. When she came to drop off the goods, she met a warm and caring staff that inspired her to ask about volunteer opportunities. After attending a volunteer orientation, she was hooked. Enthralled with the success of the many programs offered to individuals and families in crisis, Brooke decided the most effective use of her skills was behind the scenes. Shortly after beginning to volunteer, Brooke came on board as the first Development Director at BHH. In her capacity, she has been able to help fund the growth of the organization whose client base has grown exponentially.
In answer to the issue of how we care for a growing client base came to BHH in the form of a donation. A very special gift was given to us- The Remillard Family Resource Center will bring all of the programs under one roof. Our hot meals, homebound meals, food pantry, job mentoring, financial assistance, and children’s programs will all be located in one facility.
Boca Helping Hands is a local accredited agency dedicated to providing compassionate service through food and assistance programs to individuals, families, and children to instill dignity and break the cycle of dependence.
