The PCA is a grassroots organization with an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. Its purpose is to preserve and share the Polynesian culture by hosting programs that are open to the public and encourage direct interaction with Polynesian artists, educators and cultural interpreters. Founded in 2003, PCA relies upon the leadership and participation of volunteers that represent Florida’s cultural diversity and the Polynesian community’s ethnic identities. Tama Leao, President and Founder, stated “The establishment of the PCA has benefitted both the Polynesian and non-Polynesians in this area.
