Amazon Fresh Uptown Boca
Amazon Fresh sets its sights to the Southeast Florida corridor and plans on opening their first store inside west Boca Raton’s hottest new high-end mixed-use residential and shopping center, Uptown Boca. This is west Boca Raton’s newest development in years! It will truly have a local’s vibe by having the 456 Uptown Boca Residence apartments that range from 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms in the same Uptown Boca Community.

It must be said that this could certainly put a sizeable crack in the $800 billion U.S. grocery industry and surely the likes of Walmart and other tech start-ups like AiFi and Grabango are quickly jumping into the game with Amazon. Walmart’s wholesale division in Dallas opened a store called Sam’s Club Now and both 7-Eleven at their corporate headquarters in Irving, TX and Kroger is teaming up with Microsoft to capture the cashierless store space. It looks like grocery shopping will soon start to be autonomous just as we now have autonomous vehicles. Let us not forget, Amazon acquired Whole Foods Market back in 2017 for $13.7 billion. That’s only four short years ago. It seems that Amazon wants to expand upon this move and tap into the paltry 3% of groceries that are ordered over the internet today. This percentage could balloon if Amazon continues its reach into the Southeast region of the United States.
