Junior Achievement was founded in 1919 by Theodore Vail, president of American Telephone & Telegraph. It's first program, The Company Program, was offered to high school students on an after-school basis. In 1975, the organization entered the classroom with the introduction of Project Business for the middle grades. In the last 25 years, Junior Achievement has gradually expanded its activities and broadened its scope to encompass an ever-widening student population.
On Thursday July 11th BocaRaton.com was at Gatsby's in Boca celebrating another fun filled night of Junior Achievement's monthly party. Guests had fun time eating and sipping drinks while listening to great music and playing billiards. Gatsby's is located in the Shops at Village Point on 18th Street in Boca Raton. Junior Achievement meets every second Wednesday of every month at a different location. Go to www.JASouthFlorida.com for further information.
