TOUR D’ VINE ~ ALOHA HAWAII
This year, to celebrate opening our 50th State, the A Child Is Missing Program celebrates Hawaii. And, since it was the 50th state to enter the Union… what better way to celebrate this occasion?
Fort Lauderdale, Florida— The Riverside Hotel is the place to be on November 16, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m., for the elegant Tour d’Vine event presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital benefiting A Child Is Missing. For an unusual evening, experience a Mediterranean and Hawaiian inspired event that will feature exclusive cuisine, exquisite wines and spectacular desserts. An exceptional selection of fine wines provided by Southern Wine & Spirits and the featured “Hawaiian Guava Wine” flown in from the Volcano Winery, in Hawaii.
As guests arrive, they will be serenaded by Charles Kealoha, Hawaiian Entertainer and greeted with flower and shell Leis flown in from Hawaii. Miss Florida USA and Miss Hawaii USA will host the evening to welcome the Hawaiian Dignitaries and Kimo Kahoano (Hawaii’s American Idol Host) for this exciting celebration. Sommelier Jill Krasker-Scott will introduce the Hawaiian wine. Guest tickets for this event is $75.00 per person.

Peter Schmidt, food and beverage director for the Riverside Hotel is coordinating signature chefs from South Florida’s finest restaurants as they prepare their specialties. Restaurants participating include: 3030 Ocean, Rino’s Tuscan Grill, Grill Room on Las Olas, Mancini’s Italian Grille, Indigo, The Chef’s Table, Café de Paris, Capital Grille, Café Seville, CoCo’s Asian Bistro, RJ Gators, and AI Culinary Arts.
Under the stars, vineyards will line the terrace decorated with colored lights, cafe tables, grapes and the wonderful feeling of old world charm. Also on the balcony, The Grape Merchant will host the “Volcano Bar” with Dreyfus, Ashby & Co. Wine and Pradva Vodka Hawaiian Passion Martinis. Entertainment throughout the evening by, singing impersonations by Barry Tracht; Marcel Rasa, opera vocalist; Nani Maka who will perform “Lovely Hula Hands” and Sandi Stevens; hula dancers will give lessons, fire knife dance by Osmond Carranzo, May Griffith at the piano, and Chef Rino the singing chef. Grape Stomping will highlight the evening.
A Child Is Missing is a nationwide non-profit organization that helps law enforcement agencies locate missing children, missing elderly persons (often suffering from Alzheimer’s), college students, and missing persons who are mentally or physically challenged or disabled. A Child is Missing utilizes sophisticated computer mapping systems and trained technicians with the capacity to place 1,000 alert phone calls in one minute to residents and businesses in the area where someone has gone missing.
