The City of Boca Raton and the music department of the School of the Arts in Florida Atlantic University’s Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters had the United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus to Boca Raton for a free concert that played on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. The concert took place in the Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium at the Student Union on FAU’s Boca Raton campus located at 777 Glades Road.

Since its formation, the United States Army Field Band has traveled to all 50 states and to more than 30 countries presenting a variety of music to audiences of all ages. It is considered by music critics to be one of the most versatile and inspiring musical organizations in the world. This prestigious organization, appearing the fifth time in Boca Raton, has been the guest of the city each time they have toured South Florida.
