About the Venue

Mizner Park Amphitheater, Downtown Boca Raton

Nestled at the northern end of Mizner Park along Plaza Real, Mizner Park Amphitheater (MPA) is Boca Raton's premier outdoor concert venue and one of South Florida's most celebrated live performance destinations. Surrounded by Mediterranean Revival architecture, towering royal palms, and Boca Raton's finest dining and shopping — and set adjacent to the Boca Raton Museum of Art — MPA delivers an intimate yet world-class concert experience that draws audiences from across Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

Opened in November 2002, the state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, colonnade, and concert green has since entertained more than one million people. In October 2010, the City of Boca Raton took over operations and ownership of the amphitheater, cementing its role as a social, cultural, and educational center for South County residents. Programming spans nationally touring concerts, community festivals, cultural celebrations, and the annual Festival of the Arts BOCA — one of the region's most prestigious performing arts events.

MPA capacity & seating: Mizner Park Amphitheater seats 3,520 in reserved seating and expands to 4,200 in general admission configurations. The stage performance area is 2,440 sq ft (5,885 sq ft with wings). The venue offers reserved platform seats near the stage and a sweeping general admission lawn — plus a full tent configuration for special events like Festival of the Arts BOCA. Venue History

Mizner Park Amphitheater — Over Two Decades of Performances

Mizner Park Amphitheater opened in November 2002 as a state-of-the-art outdoor amphitheater, colonnade, and concert green accommodating up to 4,200 people. The inaugural ceremony was hosted by Henrietta Rach de Hoernle, followed by a performance by the Florida Symphony Orchestra. In October 2010, the City of Boca Raton took over full operations and ownership of the amphitheater, establishing it as the city's official social, cultural, and educational performance center for South County residents.

In the more than two decades since opening, MPA has entertained more than one million people and welcomed a remarkable roster of nationally touring artists — including Kelly Clarkson, Hall & Oates, and Aretha Franklin — alongside world-class cultural programming. The venue hosts three distinct categories of events: commercial ticketed concerts presented by national promoters like Live Nation and Richter Entertainment Group; City of Boca Raton community events including Boca Street Fest, Battle of the Bands, and the Summer in the City concert series; and cultural programming anchored by the annual Festival of the Arts BOCA, which transforms the amphitheater into an intimate enclosed tent venue each spring for performances spanning classical music, jazz, and the performing arts.

Today, Mizner Park Amphitheater stands as one of South Florida's most beloved live entertainment destinations — combining the intimacy of a 4,200-seat outdoor amphitheater with the cultural richness and world-class dining of the Mizner Park district in the heart of downtown Boca Raton. BocaRaton.com has been covering events at this venue for more than two decades as part of our commitment to keeping the South Florida community informed about the best things happening in Boca Raton.
