Tucked in the heart of downtown Boca Raton along North Federal Highway, Sanborn Square Park is one of Palm Beach County's most charming and historically significant outdoor gathering spaces. The park sits just south of Mizner Park — surrounded by Spanish-Mediterranean architecture, towering royal palms, and Boca Raton's vibrant restaurant and retail corridor — making it the city's natural center of gravity for outdoor events and community celebration.
The park's centerpiece is its distinctive Moorish-style pavilion — an open-air performance stage with ornate arched detailing and a checkered green-and-orange tile facade that reflects Boca Raton's iconic Addison Mizner architectural heritage. A decorative blue-tiled fountain and a rotating public sculpture installation add to the park's visual character, creating a backdrop unlike any other event venue in South Florida.
Event capacity: Sanborn Square Park accommodates up to approximately 3,000 attendees for ticketed festivals and private events. The open lawn, pavilion stage, and surrounding hardscape allow flexible event configurations from intimate cultural gatherings to full-scale food and music festivals.
As an outdoor public park, Sanborn Square operates as a rain-or-shine venue. Events hosted here benefit from exceptional foot traffic — the park borders Federal Highway and is accessible by car, rideshare, and the Brightline commuter rail at Boca Station just minutes away. For South Florida event organizers, it represents the most central, accessible, and visually compelling outdoor venue in Boca Raton.
Sanborn Square restaurants and dining: The park is surrounded by some of Boca Raton's best restaurants and dining along North Federal Highway, with Mizner Park restaurants just steps to the north and Royal Palm Place dining nearby — making it easy to build a full evening around an event at the park.

Sanborn Square Park has been the home of BocaRaton.com & The BITES! Network's signature culinary events since the very beginning. The Boca Burger Battle has been held at this venue annually since its founding, growing from a local gathering into one of Florida's longest-running and most celebrated burger competitions — drawing thousands of attendees and top chefs from across the tri-county area each summer.
The Boca Raton Wine & Food Festival, now entering its 13th year, has built a loyal South Florida following by transforming Sanborn Square's open lawn and pavilion into an elegant culinary village each November. And the Florida Tacos, Wings & Desserts Battle — now in its 3rd year — has quickly established itself as one of the most anticipated spring food events in Palm Beach County. All three events benefit the Children's Giving Foundation, a Boca Raton 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting children's charities throughout South Florida.
