Founded by Joanne Weiner, owner of Private Tutoring Services, Royal
Palm Academy is the educational break-through that you have been looking
for for your children. Its advanced learning programs allow students to
release their potential with the flexibility of self- paced,
individualized instruction within a social and structured environment.
Developed by Private Tutoring Services it is five to ten years ahead of
the public school system. RPA partners with accredited programs around
the United States to offer students who require and want educational
options an exceptional and successful program. Grand opening reception
is scheduled for January 20, 2010.
Geared for students in grade levels 7-12, Royal Palm Academy allows
students the flexibility to accelerate or remediate as they need or
want. In addition, we offer a 'bridge year' after high school graduation
for those students who are not yet ready to commit to university study
full-time. It is a true custom education for your child. The
possibilities are endless.
Centered around a regular school calendar, students attend classes in
specific subjects, yet are able to work at their own pace for each
course. Class size remains very small, with the teacher to student ratio
never greater than 1 to 5. Students are given the opportunity to work on
their own, or in small groups. Students get up to 48 minutes of teaching
per hour compared to 8 minutes per hour in public schools and virtually
no homework.
Royal Palm Academy students learn more in this format than they do in
traditional classrooms. They write better papers, perform better on
exams, produce higher quality projects and are capable of more
meaningful discussions on course material. In addition, high school
graduation rates increase as do the percentage of students going on to
college or university study.
