Before relocating to South Florida, Gail Marlow resided in Morristown, New Jersey, where she amassed 10 years of experience serving as the membership director for the J.C.C. MetroWest. In addition to her stewardship to the Jewish community, she has acted as a federation professional for the women's division of the organization.
After arriving in South Florida, Ms. Marlow secured a position at the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County, where she worked for three years in a variety of areas. Her roles included assistance with special events, and she also imparted a major influence on the organization of new programs for the Women's Philanthropy Department. In April of this year, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options (JAFCO) appointed Ms. Marlow as director of development, a position that involves fundraising, event planning, and public relations.
As a nonprofit agency, JAFCO offers a wide array of services, all of which are designed to provide disadvantaged children with shelter and safety. Programs include counseling for families, mentoring, foster care, adoption, and more. The grounds feature housing for children who have been removed from their homes because of abuse or neglect, and the facility also houses playgrounds, a swimming pool, and a basketball court. The agency has assisted with many children, providing housing, medical attention, therapy, and entertainment to ensure that they are safe and happy.
JAFCO recognizes the value of having Ms. Marlow on staff, and the executive director has expressed gratitude for her willingness to work with the organization.
This is the first of many features that are part of the Boca Raton news show: The Business Pulse. The Business Pulse is a newscast-style showcase of BocaRaton.com's community partners and the projects in which they are involved. It gives them a chance to connect with their community, and to let people learn more about how they run, what they have planned for the future, and what philosophies drive them.
We produce new episodes of The Business Pulse weekly, so if you are part of a South Florida business or organization and are interested in becoming part of a future Business Pulse episode, contact us at Content@BocaRaton.com.
