When exercising your purchasing power while shopping at the Town Center Mall on Glades Road in Boca Raton, Florida, you can now purchase GOLD Bars and Coins from America's first Gold ATM Machine by Ex Oriente Lux AG, which owns Gold to go.

The Gold Dispensing ATM is near Neiman Marcus, hang a right towards the Food Court, and you will see the Gold Plated ATM Vending Machine attracting attention from everyone.

The Gold ATMs, designed by a German company called Ex Oriente Lux AG, are operating in over 15 locations worldwide including Germany, Spain, Italy and Abu Dhabi. This is the first one in the United States, with 40 more planned.

The ATM's dispense Gold Coins and Bars weighing up to 8 ounces at prices updated every 10 minutes based on the real-time spot price of gold, churn out 20 to 100 gold pieces a day depending on traffic.

Gold prices hit record highs of over $1400 an ounce earlier this year and currently trade around $1380.

The first machine was installed at Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace hotel in May and then Gold ATMs hit Germany, Spain and Italy. The company plans to unroll a few hundred machines worldwide in 2011. Currently, the Abu Dhabi machine is so popular that is has to be restocked every two days! We will keep you posted on how often the Gold ATM is restocked in Boca Raton.
