President of Hirsch Architects, Inc. (HAI)
KENNETH J. HIRSCH graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Architecture in 1966. He then studied Vision to Action Planning at Search Institute, Minneapolis, MN, thus laying the ground-work for his extensive career in architecture. Hirsch has been a member of many boards, including; American Institute of Architects, Palm Beach Chapter, Board of Directors, and the Gold Coast Builders Association. Hirsch has designed and facilitated Visioning processes for communities, organizations and religious institutions throughout the United States. Among these are the Cities of Delray Beach, and Boca Raton, as well as the American Institute of Architects, and Florida Atlantic University Alumni Association.
Hirsch's impact upon the architectural beauty of Boca Raton is evidenced by residential designs in the Sanctuary, Boca Grove Plantation, Les Jardins, Woodfield Hunt Club, and St. Andrews Country Club. He is noted for his country club designs and entry statements to residential communities, some of the well-known country clubs include; The Polo Club, Breakers West Tennis Club, Boca Woods Golf Club, and Boca Grove Plantation Golf Club. Hirsch designed more than 100 homes in Frenchman’s Creek, Jupiter, Florida and also in the Beach Club, and St. Andrews Country Club.
Along with private residences and select commercial projects, Hirsch started the 21st century with an all-encompassing idea for visionary growth. He is involved in an innovative process to combine visioning, facilities planning, architecture, and construction administration. Hirsch's designs focus on the elements of good architecture: aesthetics, function, technology and economics. The architect orchestrates the solution in concert with the client's direction, according to Hirsch. "Architecture with Vision" is HAI’s unique method of approaching the architectural process, which they call "visioning". Visioning focuses on people first and then creates the building environment. Involving everyone in the process ensures that the end result is encompassing and empowering. By putting people first, and starting with their hopes, wants and dreams, he can then create building environments that reflect their passion, purpose and vision. Hirsch is truly an architect with vision who has the ability to create architectural and urban design solutions that become reality.
