Boca Raton's Sanctuary Medical Aesthetic Center's own Doctor David Goldberg has scientifically proven that light emitting diodes emitting light at certain frequencies have a positive affect on human skin. During the study, thirty-six subjects received 9 treatments in which light was allowed to penetrate their skin, and their skin was evaluated 12 weeks after the final treatment. Medical researchers evaluated lights' affects, and found that they repair the effects of sun damage on skin, thicken collagen fibers beneath the skin, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Test subjects also reported an increase in skin softness and smoothness. South Florida cosmetic centers now offer LED treatment so that patients can experience the same improvements. Patients undergo treatments that last between five minutes and an hour, and about ten treatments are required to achieve optimum results.
