Part of the Costa Rica Vacations series.
Costa Rica is characterized by two distinct seasons, dry and rainy, which vary in duration for different regions of the country. The dry season typically runs from December to April, and the rainy season covers May to November. Because of its tropical climate, the country experiences excessive heat and humidity during the months of March, April, and May. For this reason, people typically choose to visit Costa Rica in the coolest months, November, December, and January. With 12 hours of sunshine per day and average temperatures in the 70s, every Costa Rica trip is pleasurable.
