MAKE A WISH BALL

Make A Wish Ball InterContinental Miami November 7

The 15th Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball is the “can’t miss” event of the South Florida social scene. In its 14-year history, the Ball has raised $7.6 million, enough to grant the heartfelt wishes of 1,700 children with life-threatening medical conditions. This premier event features dinner, drinks, dancing and the chance to bid on fantasy items and experiences in the famed Live & Silent Auctions.

More than 800 of South Florida’s local moguls, fashion mavens, prominent business leaders, notable philanthropists, socialites and jet setters attended last year’s gala. Guests were transported to a mythical world filled with fascinating creatures. Florida Governor Charlie Crist was in attendance, while dark-haired beauty Kim Kardashian acted as the Live Auction’s celebrity emcee. The Honey Brothers serenaded the sold-out crowd with its musical performance.

Over the years, celebrity guests have included Sharon Stone, Richie Rich, Russell and Kimora Lee Simmons, Don King, Scottie Pippen, Mike Piazza, Marcus Schenkenberg and Venus and Serena Williams. Musical performers have included Wyclef Jean, Macy Gray, Natalie Cole, D.J. Cassidy and D.J. Irie. Stay tuned for more details. For more information, please call Stephanie Rumin at (954) 967-9474 ext. 318.

“The Make-A-Wish Ball was the antithesis of your daddy’s bow-tied bash” – Miami Herald
“…the Ball is something I will never forget! I can say that it was truly an honor to play such a distinguished room.” – D.J. Irie
