Fort Lauderdale , Fla. – March, 9 th 2007 – The 2007 Las Olas Wine and Food Festival will be held Thursday, May 10, 2007 on Las Olas Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale. This festival is by far the leading wine and food festival that is held in Broward County. Presented by Premier Beverage Co., one of the largest distributors of fine wines and spirits in Florida, the event will transform part of the city’s most charming and fashionable thoroughfare into four blocks of exceptional wines, world-class cuisine with over 45 restaurants and live entertainment. Proceeds from the event will benefit the American Lung Association of Florida-South Area.
This year, the VIP reception has been moved to the street! SE 8 th Ave will be transformed into an ultra chic VIP lounge, and from 5:30-7:00 p.m. VIP festival goers will be treated to specialty wines and spirits and fine cuisine provided by The Capital Grille, as well as in a more intimate setting. Marc Buoniconti, Developmental Advisor for the International Bronchitis Center and Ambassador for the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, is the honorary chairman of the event and will welcome guests at the reception. A $175 donation includes all of the above promised specialties as well as a VIP gift bag and admission to the street festival afterwards.
