Grand opening celebrations set for PBCC Humanities Building

The Countess de Hoernle Humanities & Technology Building in Boca Raton, Florida

This grand celebration was held in January to mark the opening of the new Countess de Hoernle Humanities & Technology Building in Boca Raton, FL.

The PBCC Foundation hosted a “Shifting Sands Gala” Black Tie Event for the opening of the 46,745-square-foot building. This project began digging in 2005. The building is named in honor of philanthropist Countess Henrietta de Hoernle, who graciously donated $1 million for the facility. She and Dr. Bruce Cole, chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities, will be the honored guests at the gala.

The Black Tie event, chaired by local business leader and philanthropist Yvonne Boice included dinner and dancing and tours of the state-of-the-art building.
